Password guidelines supplied by NIST (The National Institute of Standards and Technology) have changed. The current password complexity rules require an uppercase character, lowercase character, numbers, and symbol that would need to be changed every 90 days. There are three levels of ransomware. Ransomware is a type of malicious software which is designed to block your access to your computer until you pay a specific amount of money.

Apple has released Security Update 2016-001 for OS X El Capitan users. It introduces crucial security fixes to the operating system. They have also issued Security Update 2016-005 for OS X Yosemite users. It will protect against the exact vulnerability that was discovered in iOS last week.
To update your system on OS X go to App Store > Updates > and install the security update that is shown for your system. If you are using Mavericks or Yosemite a Safari update is available for you.
